OATMEAL YUMMIES

Baked some cookies over the weekend and they turned out reallllllly gooood!!!


All ready for the oven

Made some chocolate chip cookies
And some raisins - the healthier option

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
3 cups quick oatmeal
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp water
1 pkg (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips or raisins

Method:
1. Sieve the flour, salt and baking soda into the oatmeal and set aside.
2. Beat the shortening and the two types of sugar together.
3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla into the sugar mixture until well combined.
4. Add half of the dry ingredients into the egg mixture and stir well. Addwater.
5. Stir in the remaining dry ingredients, followed by chocolate chips.
6. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets about 1 inch apart. Bake for 7-10 mins in preheated oven at 350F. (Makes 80 cookies.)
